The EmpowHERed Woman Society
The EmpowerHERed Woman Society is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the State of Florida, serving the greater Orlando area. Founded in January 2017 by La Tanya D. Walker as La Tanya D. Walker Ministries, the organization originally focused on ministry outreach and education for women and teen girls. Since then, it has evolved and expanded its services to create a safe space for women overcoming life challenges, connecting them to resources that equip, empower, and guide them towards independent, self-sufficient lives.
We offer a nurturing environment that promotes mental wellness and fosters genuine connections. Here, women come together in strength and vulnerability, forming a supportive community where every member finds solace, inspiration, and the courage to thrive. As a dedicated team of sisters across America, we are committed to empowering women to make a positive impact on the world.
La Tanya D. Walker, our Founder and Executive Director, brings both practical experience and educational expertise to lead the organization effectively.

The mission of TEWS is to be a resource in the Central Florida region, providing comprehensive tools, resources, and services to women that prioritize mental health wellness. We aim to empower women to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and foster genuine connections that enhance their well-being and ability to contribute positively to their communities and beyond.
